Mount Fair

Charlottesville, Virginia

Interior Design: Brian McCarthy
Photography: Durston Saylor, Eric Roth

The second phase of a master plan, this full equestrian complex was designed for horse-loving owners on their expansive Virginia property.  The complex features a twelve-stall horse barn, full-sized indoor riding facility, 3,000-square-foot caretaker’s cottage, hay storage barn, and four equipment buildings.  All new buildings were designed in a traditional farmhouse style to complement the historic Greek Revival main residence, which the firm previously restored, already sited on the growing property.  The firm is still engaged in work on the country estate, most notably a solar field that will enable the farm to be self-sufficient. This house was published in Luxury Home Quarterly.
