Set among horse farms and lemon groves in the Rancho Santa Fe hills, this Lilian Jeannette Rice designed home typifies the Santa Fe pueblo style for which the architect is well-known. Mark P. Finlay Architects created a series of carefully crafted additions that expand on the design of the residence without destroying the integrity of the original building. Extensive work in the backyard incorporated a pool, pool house, hardscape layouts, and landscape design. Collaborating with California geotechnical engineers to ensure the home was protected from any seismic activity, the firm created a secure and serene residence focused around outdoor living.
