The Fairfield County Hunt Club, an iconic historic building on 40 acres of scenic property in Westport, Connecticut, is a private country club that caters to polo matches, benefit horse shows, equestrian training and lessons, sports activities, and private events. In 2015, our firm updated and modernized the facilities while maintaining the building’s original, historic integrity. While the design of the new club remained visually similar to the former one, we changed the functionality of the building to better suit the needs of the club’s members. We added 3,180 square feet, including a grill room and polo room. We incorporated many large windows and French doors to bring the outdoors in, as well as designed an outdoor fireplace and large covered porches, perfect for unwinding after a long polo match.
