Glen Arbor Golf Club

Bedford, New York

Interior Design: Marriette Himes Gomez
Photography: Larry Lambrecht, Nancy Hill

Although this property originally had a fully completed golf course, the remaining elements to the award winning Bedford, New York, club were yet to be constructed.  The new clubhouse and all supporting structures, including guest cottages, maintenance and teaching facilities, caddy shack and rain shelters, had to be designed with comfortable, intimate spaces that could support day-to-day functions of the club, as well as larger events.  The resulting 36,000-square-foot Greek Revival clubhouse reflects the quintessential Bedford homestead, while the outlying buildings draw precedent from New England farmhouse architecture.  The golf club was featured in Met Golfer and Player magazines.
