Open Positions
Mark P. Finlay Architects, AIA of Southport, CT is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant and Social Media Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position that is multifaceted and requires eager adaptation to daily scenarios. All applicants should be team oriented and energetic with excellent written and verbal skills. A successful candidate will be curious and driven to elevate and grow the internal processes of the firm. The two main components to the position are:
- Providing administrative support across the organization for both MPF Architects and MPF Interiors (two firms under one roof)
- Managing the social media platforms and online presence of the firms
Executive Assistant Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- First point of contact for our firm, welcoming all clients both on the phone and in person. To be successful, the candidate should have a pleasant and energetic personality, as this is also a customer service role.
- Maintain office/CEO calendar, schedule meetings and events etc.
- Arrange and book company travel including creation and distribution of itineraries for both Architects and Interiors firms
- Travel expense reporting for both Architects and Interiors firms
- Quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of industry professionals. Client recognition will be crucial
- General office operations management i.e. ordering office supplies, coordinating trade vendors to service the facility
- Preparing meeting spaces for client presentations
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Ultimately, duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes clients positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards
- Assistant support to the CEO as needed
- IT troubleshooting as needed
Social Media Manager Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Prepare and curate all content for social media platforms
- Prepare awards submission packages for eligible projects
- Research/explore new opportunities for the firm’s exposure
- Manage/maintain the internal office presentation tools
- Assist in the coordination/preparation for photography of completed projects

Mark P. Finlay Interiors is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join a team of talented professionals. This person will need to match the energy of our staff and aim to constantly elevate both the design and work environment we create! This Interior Designer will work with the design team through all phases of each project from conception to completion. The position requires strong design, technical, organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Passion for design is the leading quality we are looking for in this position
- Minimum of 5-7 years of design experience
- Strong presentation, organization and time management skills
- Thorough understanding of scale, proportion and spacial planning
