1020 Post Road

Darien, Connecticut

One of the firm’s most recognizable commercial projects transformed an environmentally compromised site in downtown Darien into a vibrant mixed-use and cultural destination. Since its completion, the 27,000-square-foot complex has become a defining landmark within the town’s evolving civic landscape.

Through careful coordination with adjacent properties and infrastructure, the project restructured the surrounding area into a more cohesive, pedestrian- and vehicular-friendly environment. This strategic intervention not only enhanced the public realm, but also contributed to a strengthened civic identity and measurable economic growth for the community.

In recognition of its success as an urban redevelopment initiative, the project was awarded an Economic Restructuring Award from the Connecticut Main Street Foundation, underscoring its impact as both an architectural and economic catalyst for downtown Darien.
