GlenArbor Golf Club

GlenArbor Golf Club was built on the site of the White Estate, one of the largest historic properties in the Town of Bedford, New York. Although the property featured a fully completed golf course when Mark Finlay Architects was engaged, the remaining elements of this award-winning club had yet to be realized. The new clubhouse and its supporting structures—including guest cottages, maintenance and teaching facilities, a caddie barn, and rain shelters—were conceived as a unified campus of buildings designed to accommodate both the daily rhythms of club life and larger-scale events.

The resulting 36,000-square-foot clubhouse, expressed in a refined Greek Revival style, draws inspiration from the quintessential Bedford homestead. Its composition balances a sense of grandeur with an intimate, residential character. The surrounding outbuildings, informed by the language of New England farmsteads, reinforce this cohesive vision, creating a collection of structures that feel both timeless and regionally appropriate. Together, they establish a warm, approachable environment that supports the club’s operations while enhancing the overall member experience.
