Perched atop fifty acres of sweeping coastal bluffs, this 6,400-square-foot residence commands panoramic views over Price’s Cove and the Atlantic Ocean. The site once held one of Newport’s celebrated Gilded Age mansions, which was largely destroyed by a devastating fire in 1975 and ultimately demolished after changing ownership.

In its place, a new home was conceived to endure—both materially and architecturally. Constructed of native stone and a graduated slate roof, the residence presents a sense of permanence and resilience. This rugged exterior is carefully balanced by refined detailing, creating a deliberate juxtaposition between strength and elegance.

Inside, soaring cathedral ceilings and expansive wall planes define the principal living spaces, providing a gallery-like setting for an extensive collection of works by Will Barnet. The interiors are both grand and inviting, designed to accommodate large gatherings while maintaining a sense of intimacy.
